Need an intervention near you?
1) Are private detective reports admissible in court?
Yes. A report from AzurX – a CNAPS-approved private investigator – is admissible if obtained through lawful, fair, and proportionate means. Specifically: observations in public places, documentary/OSINT research, voluntary interviews, traceability of dates/locations, and annexes (time-stamped photos, maps, bailiff's reports if necessary).
We never use wiretapping, intrusions, hacking, or clandestine recordings (protection of privacy – Penal Code 226-1/226-2). The judge assesses the value of the report; we can, if useful, attest and be heard at the hearing to explain the methodology.
2) What are the legal limits of the investigation?
The profession of private investigator is governed by Book VI of the Internal Security Code and the CNAPS (approval, authorization to practice, professional card, control).
Our surveys respect:
the legality of the means (no usurpation of public office, no access to protected data, no beacon/GPS on property that does not belong to you, no private home without consent);
proportionality and loyalty (no unfair maneuvers);
the GDPR (specific purpose, minimization, limited retention period, data security).
All exchanges with AzurX are strictly confidential (obligation of confidentiality and legitimate interest in defending your rights).
3) How does a mission take place and what is the contractual framework?
After a free quote (< 1 hour) via the contact page, we sign a written mandate (subject, scope, authorized methods, budget/times, duration). A retainer may be requested; fees are free and transparent (fixed price or time spent) and AzurX is covered by professional liability insurance.
During the mission: progress report, compliance with the legal framework, adaptation if necessary. At the end: detailed report ready to be included in the file (photos, chronology, annexes) and, if necessary, intervention at the hearing to explain the findings.
Areas of intervention: Antibes and the entire French Riviera / Alpes-Maritimes (Monaco, Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Vence, Villeneuve-Loubet, Beausoleil, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Menton, etc.).
