3. Regulated activity
AzurX Investigation’s activity falls under Book VI of the French Internal Security Code (Code de la sécurité intérieure – CSI), in particular the provisions relating to private investigators (Articles L.621-1 et seq.), and is carried out under the supervision of CNAPS (Conseil national des activités privées de sécurité – the French National Council for Private Security Activities).
Within this framework, AzurX Investigation undertakes to comply strictly with the applicable regulations and with the principles of lawfulness, proportionality, fairness and confidentiality. Accordingly, AzurX Investigation prohibits any use of unlawful or unfair methods, such as unlawful entry into a home or private premises, hacking or accessing an IT system or messaging account, identity theft, interception or diversion of correspondence, prohibited covert recording, or any other infringement of privacy outside the legal framework.
Investigations are conducted exclusively using lawful techniques appropriate to the objective pursued, in order to produce evidence that is usable and admissible in an amicable or judicial context. The information collected is handled with the utmost discretion and is communicated only to the client, within the limits provided by law and the scope of the engagement.
L.621-1 CSI: “The provisions of this title apply to the liberal profession which consists, for a person, in collecting— even without stating their status or revealing the purpose of their assignment—information or intelligence intended for third parties, with a view to defending their interests.”

9. Applicable law – Jurisdiction
French law. In the absence of an amicable agreement, jurisdiction shall apply to the courts within the jurisdiction of the registered office of AzurX, subject to mandatory provisions.
