Code of Ethics for Private Investigators

AzurX Investigation is a local private detective agency: our priority is to support you with discretion, rigor and humanity, transforming a difficult situation into a factual, usable and legally compliant case.
Our practice is in accordance with the Internal Security Code and the code of ethics applicable to private security activities, which notably governs dignity, confidentiality, loyalty and the obligation to advise.

A regulated profession, a daily ethical requirement

The profession of Private Detective (private investigator) is strictly regulated in France and requires adherence to ethical principles: acting within the law , protecting individuals, and seeking the truth without disproportionately infringing on privacy .

At AzurX Investigation , this code of ethics is not a formula: it is our way of protecting your interests and ensuring the admissibility of what we produce.

1) Strict respect for laws and fundamental rights

We operate in compliance with laws and fundamental principles (dignity, discernment, probity).

 

2) Confidentiality and professional secrecy

  • Your information is treated with discretion; the investigation report is intended for the client (and, if necessary, for their counsel/jurisdictions).

 

3) Loyalty, neutrality, non-discrimination

Our work aims to reveal the truth, without discrimination , and with total neutrality: we observe, we document, we do not interpret “in a biased way”.

 

4) Proportionality of means

Each private detective mission is subject to a proportionate action plan : the right means, at the right time, for the right objective — without unnecessary “over-investigation”.

 

5) Duty to advise and transparency

Before any mission, we explain clearly:

  • the objective, the limitations, the risks,

  • the possible methods,

  • the budgetary framework.

6) Competence, rigor, traceability

We aim to produce a verifiable dossier: chronology, dated elements, cross-checks, consistency.

What we refuse (without exception)

AzurX Investigation refuses all requests:

  • contrary to the law or professional ethics,

  • targeting nuisance, harassment, gratuitous invasion of privacy,

  • based on unfair tactics or a request "of convenience".

Depending on the case, we favour a factual approach:

  • observations on useful beaches

  • detailed statements,

  • checks and cross-checks,

  • clear presentation in a report.

The goal: to allow you to make a calm decision , with a properly constructed file.
